You don’t want Ad Impressions that cost you CTR, money, or both.

A client I ran a recent training course for was concerned that rival Companies in India were searching on his keywords, triggering his ads, diluting his CTR, and maybe costing him ad clicks.

If you’re running ads in the UK, someone overseas can search on Google.co.uk and find your ads.

The way to prevent this happening is ensure IP-targeting is working properly for you.

So instead of targeting the UK as your Country Location, simply select England, Scotland, Wales and so on instead in your Campaign settings.

Then, only IP addresses within those locations will be able to trigger your ads.
